Trash and Recycling
Trash and recycling can be found behind the building by exiting through the rear. Trash is picked up on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and recycling is picked up on Mondays.
Cleaning
Cleanings of the common areas of the building are completed on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and common areas of the suites are cleaned on Thursdays.
Bike Storage
The bike storage room is located on the first floor, right before the elevators. The code is 2444. Please note that locking your bicycle is at your own risk.
DC 311
311 is a toll-free number that allows DC residents to request assistance with city services and information. You can also access the online format for more information on city resources.
Secure street parking via TOPS
Cassell only offers street parking, so if you need to reserve parking for your move in/move out, we suggest doing so through the TOPS website.
Maintenance
We encourage residents to submit all routine maintenance requests via their Appfolio Online Portal so they can be quickly assessed and addressed by the appropriate team. Our team focuses on quick resolutions to all requests and will often address most requests the next business day (unless it is a maintenance emergency, which would be handled by our on-call team). Please see below for emergency contact information:
➔ For all emergencies relating to fire and/or safety, please dial 911 and then contact our emergency line at (202) 937-0781 to notify our team.
➔ For after hours maintenance emergencies, call or text our 24/7 emergency line at (202) 937-0781 and follow the prompts to be directed to the agent on call.
➔ In the event you smell gas, immediately contact Washington Gas’s emergency line at (844)-927-4427.
KastleResident App
After you’ve paid your move in fee & first month’s rent, you’ll be able to gain access to the building and your suite on the start date of your lease via the Kastle App. You can download the app and set up an account with the email provided in your application. You will find an access card in your room when you arrive.
Please note, the card should be your main form of entry and the app should be used as a backup. Please make sure to bring your card every time you go out! Nest will not be able to assist with after-hours lockouts due to forgetting your card.
Packages
To have a package delivered, the carrier should come to the front door and call you via the intercom to let them in for delivery. This can be done remotely as well - a call will be placed to your cell phone where you can unlock the door remotely via the Kastle app once visually verifying it is a delivery person.
For your delivery address, use:
“2106 Vermont Ave NW Suite [your suite #] Washington DC 20001”
In addition to having packages delivered to the building, in the event you are not able to immediately retrieve them, we recommend considering having your package shipped & held at a nearby Amazon package hub. There is a Whole Foods across the street from the building that accepts Amazon packages, as well as nearby Amazon Hubs. You can find a hub convenient to you at this link!
