What’s happening in the DC this month?
Play Ball! - In between work, school, and brunch, Washingtonians love to squeeze in a sporting event! The Washington Nationals and DC Defenders kick off their seasons April 1st and April 7th respectively, so grab some tickets at the corresponding links. The Washington Wizards and Capitals are also active in their seasons. Courtesy of Destination DC, you can find discounted tickets here (which comes with a complimentary hat with purchase!), and discounted Wizards tickets here.
AdMo Art Walk - Between April 8th through April 30th, DC Arts Center is partnering with Adams Morgan’s Business Improvement District (BID) to provide local artists the opportunity to turn AdMo into a neighborhood-wide art exhibit! You can register for a free guided tour, and/or find more information here.
National Gallery Nights - Ever wanted to see the museums after dark? Well, now’s your chance! The National Gallery of Art is hosting a “Flowers After Hours” themed event on April 11th. There will be performances, demos, crafting, scavenger hunts, and more. These are huge events, so get your tickets soon! Registration required— linked here.
National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade - Remember those famous cherry blossoms we mentioned in your spring newsletter? Well, DC has a parade for them, too! On April 13th, celebrate the Spring festivities presented by Events DC. Find more information and purchase tickets here.
Block Party! - After the Cherry Blossom Parade, head to the Kennedy Center for the block party, hosted in collaboration with the REACH and initiated by Jacqueline Woodson! Check out more information and reserve tickets here.
DC Beer Festival - For the beer drinkers out there (legal ones, of course), you’ll be ecstatic to partake in one of DC’s annual favs—the DC Beer Festival at Nats Park! Check out an array of brews, suds, and fun, as well as grub from local food trucks. There are two sessions happening April 13th, and you can grab tickets here.
