What are the benefits/differences of co-living?

Where do we begin! In a co-living community, you get the best of…all worlds, actually. You have the ability to blend community and engagement with the privacy of your own space to escape to. You have full autonomy of your own lease as well as flexible options, so you’re not bound by other roommates on the same lease. Not to mention, with everything included in your monthly rent, you save money on all the different fees during your stay, as well as moving costs and hassles—with all furniture provided, you can stress less about moving!

What does my rent include?

Rent in one of our co-living spaces includes your own room, furniture, all utilities, internet, cleanings, and basic kitchen supplies—typically priced at a monthly average of over $800! Not having to worry about varying monthly costs makes budgeting easier for our residents.

In terms of furniture, the spaces come equipped with stocked kitchen supplies and appliances, living room furniture, flat screen TVs in the common areas, and full size mattresses. Some suites/rooms may come with a little extra depending on the space. We strongly encourage not bringing additional furniture to the common areas to not overcrowd the space and limit damage. You can bring additional furniture for your room, though!

Are the suites co-ed?

All suites are co-ed given the autonomy and flexibility in each lease.

Can I rent a room with another person?

Co-living rooms only permit one adult lease holder per bedroom. This helps prevent overcrowding in the suites. Just because the living is shared doesn’t mean the personal space is too!

Are pets allowed?

While our team is made up of animal lovers, pets are not permitted in the co-living communities given the shared spaces.

Is there parking?

Our buildings do not provide off-street parking, but they are either walker-friendly or near metro! Community members may also consider the city’s other various modes of transportation such as bus, Capital Bikeshare, or scooters.

Do the doors lock?

The doors can be locked from the inside!

What can I expect from cleanings?

Common areas of the suites are cleaned once a week. Cleaners will clean floors, counters, and appliances, but please note that residents are responsible for cleaning their own rooms, private bathrooms, dishes, and personal items.

Am I responsible for maintenance?

We have a dedicated maintenance team to handle any & all maintenance issues for you! You can easily submit maintenance requests on your resident portal, and our technicians can generally be expected within 1-2 business days, if not sooner.

How do you ensure cohesive living?

Community guidelines are included in each lease to set standards for respectable shared living. All community members are held to these standards to ensure a safe and secure living environment. If you’d like to meet your potential suitemates once you’ve applied and selected your suite, we’re happy to help introduce you via email to coordinate a meeting!

Are there any additional fees I need to know about?

Your monthly rent is the only cost you should anticipate each month. There is no security deposit, but there is a standard, non-refundable $500 move in fee and the $52 application fee per application.
